Humans have enjoyed a beneficial relationship with bees for centuries. Come learn more about how our insect friends help us grow food, make sweet treats and even light our homes at this family fun event. You'll want to arrive early to participate in kid-friendly candle making and cooking activities, and Journeyman Beekeeper Trish Ridder of Spartanburg Beekeepers Association will be on hand to share her expertise and give a presentation on the tools and techniques of the ancient art of beekeeping. Tours of Walnut Grove Plantation will be given on the hour (last tour at 4 p.m.) by our friendly and experienced guides.
