Spartanburg County Historical Association is partnering with American Legion Post 28, Duncan Park and Greenville's Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum to present an all-American evening of baseball learning and fun.
Join us on Thursday, July 3 at 5:00 p.m. in the Legion Hall at Post 28 to explore the American Legion's excellent museum that includes Post 28's 1936 National Championship trophy, vintage uniforms and historic photographs of Duncan Park. At 5:45 Shoeless Joe Jackson expert Danny Roberts will give a presentation and answer questions about one of the Upstate's most well-known sporting heroes. After you experience our rich baseball history, walk or drive down to Duncan Park to cheer on the home team at Post 28's final regular-season game.
Admission is $6 ($3 for children 10 and under) and includes the presentation at the Legion Hall and a game ticket. Purchase tickets at the door using cash, check, and Visa or Mastercard or online via our gift shop.
