Archaeology Day at Walnut Grove Plantation

The Foothills Chapter of the Archaeological Society of South Carolina will be completing an archaeological exploration of Walnut Grove Plantation on Friday, June 6.  Spartanburg County Historical Association invites you to join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to talk to lead archaeologist Lamar Nelson and his team to find out what their project can tell us about the lives of the free and enslaved people who lived at Walnut Grove.  This is a unique opportunity to uncover new information about one of Spartanburg County's most important historic sites!
