Summer in the 60s: Part 2

  • Spartanburg County Public Library- Downtown 151 S Church St Spartanburg, SC

Join Jack Fisher, an American Bandstand Dancer and 60s Rock & Roll DJ, for a trip down memory lane as you relive the 1960s, one of the most influential decades in Music History!

One of the most significant decades in American History, the 1960s included an unpopular war in Vietnam, assassinations of major American figures, an escalating Cold War, a feminist movement, riots in major cities, a burgeoning drug culture, and the first lunar landing. Jack's talks will demonstrate how the music of the decade both reflected and affected major events throughout the decade.

The Lecture series will be broken into three sessions, each focusing on a different period of 60s music that evolved as the decade progressed.

Admission: $10/one lecture; $25/all three lectures, CLICK HERE to purchase tickets!
