Exhibit Closing: Remembering Camp Wadsworth

  • Spartanbrug Regional History Museum 200 East Saint John Street Spartanburg, SC, 29306 United States (map)

The Spartanburg County Historical Association displays information, original artifacts and displays from Camp Wadsworth, a military training camp in Spartanburg, SC during the First World War between 1917-1918 marking the centennial of the "War to End All Wars."
Pinpointing five locations on Camp Wadsworth that contributed to the war at large, this exhibit brings the living quarters and ground breaking training facilities to life. Profiles of three Spartanburg natives demonstrate the selfless acts of our historic brethren including the most wounded soldier in the WWI, an aviation ace, and a Medal of Honor recipient.
