American Girl: The American Revolution -
Friday, June 19, 9:00am-12:00pm

Focusing on the Felicity doll, The American Revolution Day Camp features a tea party and colonial etiquette and is centered on the roles of women and girls during the American Revolution, including the story Spartanburg’s own heroine, Kate Moore Barry!. Two crafts and fun outdoor games will be on the agenda.
Location: Walnut Grove Plantation
Recommended age: 7 to 14.

In Your Backyard! An Archaeology Camp-
Friday, July 14, 9:00am-12:00pm

Covering some of the artifacts found in the area such as spear points and pottery, campers will learn about archaeological excavation and reasoning used on an digs. Camp will include outdoor games and hands-on activities.
Location: Spartanburg Regional History Museum
Recommended age: 8 to 12..

American Girl: On The Home Front (the 1940's)-
Friday, July 27, 9:00am-1:00pm

Focusing on the Molly doll, campers discuss the challenges on the American home front during WWII, including a viewing of the movie “Molly” and three activities related to this time period.

Recommended age: 7 to 14.

Capturing Nature: A Photography Camp-
Friday, August 10, 9:00am-12:00pm

Campers will enjoy a nature walk down the Walnut Grove Nature Trail capturing its unique beauties! Make your own pinhole camera and walk the nature trail capturing what images you can. This is a brief introduction to photography as a hobby.  Campers are invited to have lunch afterwards on the grounds!
Location: Walnut Grove Plantation Recommended age: 8 to 14.
