Maps Alive!

Did you know that the Spartanburg Regional History Museum houses one of the most impressive historic map collections in the region? "Maps Alive!" opens at the Museum on June 12 and will run through August 31. The exhibit showcases dozens of maps tracing the history of South Carolina and the southeastern United States.

Historic Price House - New Operating Hours

Historic Price House is now open on Saturdays 12 p.m.-3 p.m. and on Sundays 2 p.m.-4 p.m. with tours given on the hour. It is located at 1200 Oakview Farms Road in Woodruff.  Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 5-17, and free for SCHA members.

With its steep gambrel roof, bricks laid in Flemish bond and architectural style more typical of the Chesapeake region, the 1795 home of Thomas and Anne Price reflected the growing wealth and prosperity of Spartan District settlers in the decades after the Revolutionary War.
