Have you ever wondered how soldiers communicated during the Revolutionary War? Join us for our next Lunch and Learn with living historian Bill Williamson, who portrays a SC Militia soldier tasked with writing correspondence for officers and letters for fellow soldiers who could not write for themselves. Bill will walk us through the tools, the process, and the surprisingly vital role that written communication played in 18th century life.
Lunch and Learn is sponsored by the Chapman Cultural Center

Homeschool Open Field Trip at the Seay House

Join other homeschool families for a hands-on, history-filled adventure! Our Homeschool Field Trip Days invite students of all ages to learn, explore, and make new friends—no large group or planning required. Just sign up, show up, and enjoy an educational morning designed especially with homeschoolers in mind.
Field trips consist of a guided tour, a living history activity, and a picnic lunch in our covered pavilion.
Guided tour will take you through the family home to learn about the three Seay sisters who lived in the home and ran their self-sufficient farm.
